Why choose Smart Leveler over a laser?

A Smart Leveler is much faster to use, lighter to transport, and as accurate as a laser reading.
Lasers don’t work well in bright daylight, and you need a clear line of sight. In other words, it won’t work if you need to take a height reading behind a wall.

DLS has units still in use after a decade of use in rough environments. One unit survived Katrina and was under brackish water for 6 weeks. After replacing a few screws it worked fine and was returned to service.

Works in temperature extremes. Does slow down a bit below freezing and is not recommended for use below zero Fahrenheit although several contractors do.

How accurate is Smart Leveler?

Accuracy is typically plus or minus 1/10 inch (2.5mm). This is near level or near a zero reading. The level loses some accuracy as the differential increases.
